So, since I have dedicated a few blogs or some of my writings to talking about the "hero's journey," I wanted to write a blog about one of my "action heroes," Chris Pratt.
Being a comedic actor and taking the leap to becoming an action hero is no easy feat!
But Chris has done seemingly easily. Another reason he is one of action heroes is because we're about the same age and I know how hard it is to stay or "try to" to stay in shape after 40. So good for you man. My back hurts all the time so hats off to ya brother.
Anyway, so I watched the action movie he starred in, "The Tomorrow War," and it was bad ass. I have one spec script I'm writing that has a kind of similar plot but this one reminds me some of "The Edge of Tomorrow," starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Another bad ass movie.
When I was 19 I tested with Navy to go into intelligence but unfortunately due to health issues I was ineligible to enlist. I probably would have gone in as an officer I'm guessing but I do think things happen for a reason, (sometimes I don't understand why), but I think they do. So I have tried to put my "brains," or "critical thinking" skills to good use and apply them to my writing endeavors. And as luck would have it my awesome friend Tirzah launched this website and now I have a platform to write about movies/music/etc that I like.
So some things do make sense sometimes!

Okay anyway, I like "save the world," movies and I know when you talk to people who aren't in the industry, most people will say, "oh another movie like that!" But... I know that they have no idea how hard it is to write a movie like that! So who cares! You can't please everyone!
So, it looks like this scored 6.6 on rotten tomatoes. I don't know I feel it should score higher but what do I know?
Sorry tangent. Focus. Focus power. Sand the floor! Get him a body bag!
Okay sorry. So, this movie delivers with the comedy for sure! The supporting cast definitely kills with comedic relief. Even though it's action movie the funny hits! I like how writers and producers are bringing the funny to these movies. Not that they didn't before but it seems like they are really getting it. That's why I like the Marvel movies because they are action/adventure movies, but they are very funny.
I don't always admittingly make it all the way through a movie from beginning to end but I did make it all the way through this one. Well worth the watch!
I'm happy for Chris' success. I know how much of a struggle it is to pursue your dream and (try to keep your sanity) with the chaos of life so I'm glad things are going well for him and his family and of course ARNOLD!!!
Okay definitely worth watching. If you like funny, action movies check it out for sure.
