The Foreboding of Fortune: Prologue

You know, humans are quite vivid and vibrant creatures. We have created languages, rules of law, morality medians and tiers of power.

The one thing that connects humans the closest, without borders of culture, is music.

Whether you are dancing with the tribal music in deep parts of Africa, or feeling the soul of Irish Celtic hymns, music tends to find a way to move a persons soul. Bare minimum their hips and feet.

Now when I tell you, that even with the thousands, millions of cultures and scenes through out the globe, that there are realms out there, with their own story and formula.

I've always had an affinity for score music or ambient music.

There are worlds and dimensions out there I firmly believe we can connect to, with the right focus and determination and the most potent of potions, surging through the dense and deep humming tracks with absolutely no words.

Scores and ambiences surely do differ, but coexist for a reason.

For example, The Ring (2002) film has one if not the best soundtracks of the early 2000's in my opinion. It's long beauty of dread and foreboding doom leaves you invested in the story's chapters, without even having to see the film.

You feel Samara's (antagonist) rage and Rachel's(protagonist) consistent fear growing stronger and more intense throughout the film.

I do indeed feel the story in the soundtrack without having to look back in the film itself for reference.

But what if I told you, I see another story?

That's right, I have been continuously growing this story from the soundtrack alone for reference.

There are some films and video games that the soundtracks themselves paint a different picture, a different realm in my head, feeling as though I've been to these worlds before.

Nostalgia at its strongest.

It's something I've always been confused by,

"Why do these sounds make me think of something so vividly when I've never been there?"

And that my fellow unicorns, is when creativity creates chaos.

In the most beautiful way.

I really am driven to delve deeper in this subject, and start writing about it more.

This concept of ambience and film and video game scoring has been with me since I was able to star recognizing the power of moods.

There several established worlds and realms I have created so far with my favorite pieces of work

And I can't wait to show you.
