Back to the Future: The Power of Love

So I'm feeling kind of nostalgic lately. Mostly for 80'd movies/music. That's the era I grew up in so naturally I am biased. But with the new Top Gun coming out in theatres, I started thinking about some old memories. I remember I was 8 years old and my dad took me down to NBC studios. I can't remember how I got it but I go invited to for a focus group for kids. I went to it and I felt like the coolest kid in the world.

If I had to guess there was probably 7 or 8 other kids my age and they were getting kids opinions about concepts for shows they had created as pilots. One of them was a Back to the Future cartoon. I immediately was like yes!! That was my favorite movie at the time and still is one of my all time favorites.

Any film fanatics/screenwriters or movie nerds like me will probably agree that Back to the Future is structurally the perfect specimen of screenplay/writing/score/and overall story ever.

Huey Lewis and the News were a main contributing factor to the "power" of the soundtrack. "The Power of Love" was an amazing addition to the soundtrack and may have arguably been the best song on it. It definitely punched up the romantic scenes with Marty and his girlfriend Jennifer. Einstein has an honorable mention as best supporting actor. hehe
